He Really Knows How you Feel

Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Talking to someone that has experienced similar circumstance that you are going through can be a big encouragement.  They may not know exactly how we feel, but they may be able to offer you some help and comfort.

According to the passage above, the Lord knows how you feel.  Jesus suffered throughout His lifetime many of the same trials as we do.  He was even tempted to sin in the same ways that we are.  This enables the Lord to be touched with the same emotions that we experience here on earth.  I think we, at times, paint the Lord as a stoic person, void of feelings, yet the Bible doesn’t present Him in that way.  Jesus wept, He felt compassion, He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.  In certain situations in life, I believe the Lord also has a great sense of humor.

We need to realize that our Savior is always active in our lives.  We are never alone at any time if we know Jesus as our Savior.  Since he is always with us, He knows what we are going through at any given; He knows what emotions we are feeling.  The Bible tells us that He is the healer of broken hearts.  He enters into our situations of pain and grief.

The Bible tells us, that we should come to the throne of grace confidently, knowing that our Lord knows what we are going through and that He is touched by our feelings.  That is where we find sufficient grace, and mercy for our times of need.
